NGC 5139 Omega Centauri
Details
The globular cluster is already easily recognizable with the naked eye as a foggy spot. It is not only the largest but also the brightest globular star cluster in the night sky. However, it is only visible in southern latitudes. During my stays in Namibia I made several attempts to photograph this object. I never really got it right for a number of reasons. But now I was finally able to photograph this classic in a quality that satisfies me.
