NGC 3576 Statue of Liberty

Details

NGC 3576 The Statue of Liberty Nebula.

I never captured this beautiful nebula because I simply didn’t had the aperture to photograph the object in any detail. But with an 8 inch Newton I dared to do it. The object is still relatively small (the preview is a crop of the original image), but due to the great optical performance of the telescope, I was able to work out some details. By the way, for a long time I didn’t know where the Statue of Liberty was supposed to be. It is one of the small dark nebulae that can be seen in the center.
