Milkyway Panorama

Details

Our Milkyway is our Homegalaxy. This Panorama Image shows our view on our galaxy, as we are sitting somewhere in the outskirts of this island of stars, watching either up or down, away from the center or directly into the center of the galaxy. My goal here was to show how our galaxy looks like when we are looking towards the center, from the side. Slightly left in this view you see the so called Bulge, the central thikening of a galaxy. You also see lots of dust that blocks the view of stars lying behind it and turn the colors of the stars golden.
