NGC6188 The Fighting Dragons

Details

NGC 6188 The fighting dragons of Ara
This emission nebula lies in the constellation Ara, not far from Scorpius. The young open star cluster NGC6193 forms this beautiful gas nebula. Around the star cluster you can see slightly bluish shimmering reflection nebulae. To the right of the nebula is another very interesting object, NGC 6164 and NGC 6165, which looks unusual, like a planetary nebula or a Wolf Rayet star. Because of their shape, these nebulae are called bi-polar emission nebulae. There is also a tiny reflection nebula hidden on the left of the image, GN 16.44.9
