M8 The Lagoon Nebula
Details
A close up of the famous Lagoon Nebula M8 (Messier 8). This is the prototype of a birth place for young stars. Those new born stars form a cluster which is clearly visible in this image, and the radiation leads to emission of different wavelengths like Ha, OIII and SII. Also some reflection nebula is visible.
