Westerhout 44
Details
Westerhout 44 or W44 is a supernova remnant in the constellation of Aquila. It was discovered by dutch astronomer Gart Westerhout in one of his radio surveys. I found only one image that shows this SNR in optical band, so it was kind of risky to give it a try. It took me two years to finish this image. Although it can be seen from the nothern hemisphere i just collected data in namibia, as sky conditions are brilliant there to capture such faint stuff. This is probably the only amateur color picture of this object.
