Sh2-73

Details

Sh2-73 was mistakenly included in the Sharpless catalog of emission nebulae. It is also catalogued  as MBM 40 or LBN 105. It is a molecular cloud of high latitude in the constellation of Hercules which is lit by the integrated light of the milkyway itself. Thats why it is often refferd as IFN or Integrated Flux Nebula. The more precise word for such nebula is simply galactic cirrus.
