NGC6914 vdB132
Details
The reflection nebulae NGC6914, van den Bergh 132 and van den Bergh 131 seem to be almost lost in this dense field of hydrogen gas in the constellation of cygnus. Dark clouds block the light of the overall presence of hydrogen gas. Those dark clouds are birthplaces for young stars, often appear blue in color. The blue light is scattered at particles in those clouds and as a result we see a beautiful bluish reflection nebula. Reflection nebulae, Herbig Haro objects and dark clouds are always evidence of star forming. Other objects in the fov are: LBN270, LBN274, LBN273, LBN279, LDN897, LDN899, LDN900.
