CG 12 Cometary Globule

Details

The cometary globule CG 12 or NGC 5367 is a star forming region in our milkyway. The object has a relativ strong angle towards the galactic plane, and so it stands out pretty isolated in front of its interstellar background. The term cometary is just related to the comet like shape of this object.
