Heart and Soul Nebula

Details

The Heart and Soul Nebula, IC1805 and IC1848, are two emission nebulae in the constellation of Cassiopeia. They are both cave like regions of ionized gas and dust, and they are typical star forming regions. Thats why you see open clusters, dust lanes and the emission of hydrogen alpha (Ha) and Oxygen III (OIII). Other objects in the field are sharpless 2-199, Westerhout 5, LBN 667 (just other catalog numbers for IC1848), IC 896, GC 531 (other names for IC 1805), IC 1795, NGC 1027, Sh2-192, WeBo 1 and many more.
