Filamentary Shell G296.2-2.8


Details

G296.2-2.8 is a so called filamentary shell. Its origin is not yet fully proven, wheather it is a supernova remnant or not. Walker, Zealey and Philips discovered the object in their survey they did with the Anglo Australian Telescope. The paper was published in 2001.
